We are blessed to have a rich history of Religious orders that have shaped the St Francis faith community. This history includes the Sisters of Mercy, the Sisters of St. Joseph, and, of course, the Franciscans. All of these influences bring us closer communion with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
At St Francis we celebrate our Faith in a number of ways.
Parish, Mass and Sacraments.
We are one community with the St Francis Parish and regularly celebrate weekly Mass together on Wednesday mornings. We also join to celebrate significant feast days and Sunday Mass.
We are supported by our Parish Priest, Father Rob O'Brien, as well as Sister Paula and other Parishioners who generously offer their time to help in our classrooms and gardens.
As part of our children's Faith Journey, we work together with the Parish to encourage all our children to receive the Sacraments of Initiation.
Prayer Assemblies
Each Monday, we begin our Week with a Prayer Assembly. This is a chance to reflect on Sunday's Gospel, share our school Value for the week, and pray together in a number of ways.
Classroom Prayer
Each day children begin their day with Morning Prayer. This is a sacred time when children use song, scripture and a variety of Prayers to encounter Christ.
School and Gospel Values
Putting our Values in to action means doing as Jesus would have us do. Our Values are Love, Respect, Faith and Truth. Children learn about the importance of putting these into action each day.
